Lab

From Feedback to Feedforward.

Building a learning culture.

Creating a future of ownership.

Lab with Katja Hennecke and Kira Wüsten.

Feedback discussions are often a frustrating experience. Not only for the feedback recipients - because the focus is usually on deficits - but also for the sender, who is often disappointed with the results. The feedforward method is intended to remedy this.

Feedforward is providing information about factors that will be effective in the FUTURE. By asking solution-oriented questions and using hypothetical language oriented towards future developments, a feedforward is a co-creative process of elaborating helpful alternatives.

Your Benefit

  • You reflect on how you are dealing with mistakes and criticism
  • You become aware of how your words matter
  • You focus on a growth mindset
  • You become more effective in helping others to take ownership

The Content

  • How I deal with mistakes and criticism
  • How feedback affects our (self-)awareness
  • Solution focused questions
  • The impact of future oriented language
  • What influences a growth mindset

The Process

Labs run two weeks. The preparation video is followed by a three-hour workshop where we interactively practice the core aspects. Afterwards, you will receive Sparks over two weeks to integrate what you have learned. At the end, you have the opportunity to reflect on your experiences and clarify any final questions in a Q&A session.

  • Workshop: The right mindset, the right words
  • Q&A: Integrating what we have learned
