Leadership: Getting Started.
Explore what leadership really is.

Lab with Alain van Gils

The Leadership: Getting Started Lab is designed specifically with new leaders in mind. By that we mean, you are about to, have just started, or been in the role of leader for maybe perhaps a year at most, and you have or are encountering some challenges. That’s what we’re going to be talking about.

In this Lab, we’ll explore what leadership really is, what defines it and what it requires from you to move from being a manager to being the shaper. In other words what you now do operationally and how you add value.

We’ll explore the new nature of your role, the necessary shifts in your relationships and how the expectations of others will change.

We will cover the most important aspects of leading people, such as trust and communication, what it takes to motivate, empower and build winning teams, as well as the skills and tools of effective leadership.

Your Benefit

In this Lab, you’ll walk away with a solid understanding of how to build your foundations for being a leader, benefitting your team, company, self and, ultimately, your career.

The Process

Labs run over two weeks.
The preparation video is followed by a three-hour workshop where we interactively practice the core aspects. Afterwards, you will receive Sparks over two weeks to integrate what you have learned. At the end, you have the opportunity to reflect on your experience and clarify any final questions in a Follow-up session.
