Understanding Agility.
The principles, the mindset, the methods.

Lab with Soufiene Windpassinger.

Agile has helped many companies across industries deliver. Despite that, it became a swear word for many organizations. Numerous people see it as a process-heavy methodology that allows for very little flexibility and forces teams to go through time-consuming daily and weekly rituals.

However, the Agile Manifesto actually imposes very few principles leading to a broad canvas that allows teams to decide how they want to implement the actual process based on the methodology.

The objective of this sprint is to go back to the roots of Agile. We will explore what the methodology is actually meant to be. We will also dig into the principles behind the Agile Manifesto, and discover how this can actually be implemented in real-life scenarios.

The Topics

  • The Agile Manifesto: What is it all about?
  • Deep dive on the Agile principles
    • Individuals and interactions over processes and tools
    • Working software over comprehensive documentation
    • Customer collaboration over contract negotiation
    • Responding to change over following a plan
  • Scrum and Kanban: What are they, and which one to use when
  • What does it mean for your project?

The Process

Labs run over two weeks.
The preparation video is followed by a three-hour workshop where we interactively practice the core aspects. Afterwards, you will receive Sparks over two weeks to integrate what you have learned. At the end, you have the opportunity to reflect on your experiences and clarify any final questions in a Follow-up session.
